There are more answers to this question than stars in the sky. At the end of the day one thing is true, shorter drives wear oil out faster than longer drives. An engine will always do best when it gets up to and stays at operating temps longer. If you never drive farther than 15 minutes, you should consider shorter oil change intervals. Modern engines do run cleaner than older engines, however, as an engine gets more miles on it the oil will get dirtier easier and faster. More frequent oil changes might be worth considering.
